Dear Parents
Some of you may have seen the article in the Northwich Guardian in which we were asking for volunteers to be leaders and helpers at 1st Davenham Scouts. All of our sections: Beavers Cubs and Scouts require additional leaders and helpers.
The benefits your child gains through Scouting are in the main as a direct result of the dedication, time and commitment by our adult leaders and helpers. We need your help. Just how can you do that? Everybody has something they can give; do you have hobbies or recognised skills that you can share with us, first aid for example.
Could I please ask you to read through the leaflet ‘Where did all that mud come from?’ then ask yourself what could I do to support our group and community. We do need leaders and helpers, however, any volunteer support would be gratefully received.

Chairman
Not only are we looking for leaders we also need more people to assist on the Fundraising Committee from Beavers and Cubs.
ReplyDeleteOur Leaders have also asked if anyone would kindly volunteer to assist as Membership Secretary.
If you feel that you can help, either becoming a leader or helping fundraise please use our contacts page.
From a leaders point of view I would ask if there are parents or friends that have hobbies that they would like to share. This term we have a dad who has arranged a martial arts class. It could be anything, is there someone who is into star gazing or plays chess and could play a number of tables at the same time?
ReplyDeleteYou would be amazed how receptive the children are and it is very rewarding to do
